Hey again! Remember my previous Tekken 8 event – 5v5 Mayhem? Well, we’re now also done with the follow-up main event, Khan Imran’s Power Crusher 1.0. This went absolutely epic with 100+ players competing for a prize pool of Rs. 200,000 in a two-day event and was again held at the Bramerz Digital office.
Let me take you through a quick recap and the main highlights of this phenomenal event and share some behind-the-scenes moments that made it truly unforgettable.
Building on the Success of 5v5 Mayhem
After the success of the 5v5 Mayhem event, where we saw top-tier Tekken 8 players like Khan Imran and Arslan Ash battling it out, we knew we had to up our game. The feedback from the community was overwhelmingly positive, and it was clear that there was a massive appetite for more high-quality esports events in Pakistan – particularly in my city, Lahore.
Power Crusher 1.0
With that in mind, we started planning Khan Imran’s Power Crusher 1.0. To start off, we brought in Khan Imran (aka FATE Khan) to headline the event. For those who don’t know, Khan is sponsored by FATE Esports, a Jordanian esports organization that has been competing professionally since early 2018 and their team includes professional gaming athletes from over 20 countries.
The idea was to create an even bigger and better event, and what better way to do it than by organizing an official Tekken 8 Dojo event approved by Bandai Namco Entertainment? This meant players could earn points towards the Tekken World Tour leaderboard, giving our local talent a chance to shine on the global stage and compete for TWT 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Challenges
Organizing such an event is no small feat. It involves countless hours of planning, coordination, and a lot of passion. From finalizing the venue to coordinating with sponsors and partners, every detail had to be meticulously planned. And let’s not forget about managing registrations and entry fees for over 100 participants!
We had some incredible sponsors on board, like Samsung Pakistan, Outfitters, and Tapal Danedar, who played a crucial role in making this event (and the previous 5v5 Mayhem) a reality. Their support was instrumental, and we couldn’t have pulled it off without them. We also partnered with IGN Pakistan for best-in-class social media coverage.
Highlights & Recap
The event was packed with unforgettable moments. One of the most inspiring highlights was seeing Hina Malik, a female competitive player, participate in the event. Her journey might have ended early in the tournament on day 1, but her presence was an inspiration for other female gamers aspiring to compete.
Then there were the major upsets that had everyone talking. FATE Khan’s elimination by Irtaza Shaukat was a shocker, and Malik Ash’s victory over Falcons Atif Butt led to a dream rematch between Hafiz Adeel and Atif Butt. The crowd went wild!
One of the funniest moments was when Buntoo Cage, not a professional Tekken athlete, managed to score a round of victory against Esharib in the losers bracket. The reactions from the pro players were priceless, and he even got a sponsorship offer right after the stream.
The grand finale was an epic showdown between Dawood Sikandar and Farzeen. Farzeen came from the losers’ side to reset the bracket and ultimately win the tournament. It was a fitting end to an incredible event.
You can watch all these matches and the live stream recording for both the events on YouTube: Day 1 (Pools) and Day 2 (Top 8).

The Importance of Community
Like I have said before, what I love most about organizing these events is the sense of community.
Seeing players from different backgrounds come together, compete, and support each other is truly heartwarming. It’s not just about the competition; it’s about building a community where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Organizing Khan Imran’s Power Crusher 1.0 was a rewarding experience. It reinforced my belief in the potential of our local esports scene and the importance of providing platforms for our players to showcase their talents.
I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved with this event, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us. A big shoutout to everyone who participated, supported, and made this event possible. Here’s to many more successful events in the future!
Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of gaming and esports. Until next time!
Cheers,
Haris Nadeem
